The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will feature expats in a program to promote the country.

The ministry on April 2 said it will hold five sessions of this year's "The Senses of K-Culture," a program in which foreign residents visit relatively unknown attractions to experience the culture there, along with the Korea International Broadcasting Foundation.

The first event from April 5-7 will be held in Gimpo, Gyeonggi-do Province, and Ganghwa-gun County in Incheon, featuring views from the Jogang Observatory overlooking North Korea and make traditional food at a traditional dessert cafe.

The second session from May 23-25 around Donghae and Samcheok, Gangwon-do Province, will center on a coastal rail tour and seafood sampling.

From May 26-28, the third will explore the historical sites of the Silla Kingdom (57 B.C.-935 A.D.) in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, and have visitors make items related to the city.

In September, visitors will ride a gondola to see the mountains in Muju-gun County, Jeollabuk-do Province (Jeonbuk State), visit Muju Meoru Wine Cave and indulge at a ginseng spa in Jinan-gun County.

October will feature trips to Gongju and Buyeo-gun County, Chungcheongnam-do Province, to attend the Baekje Cultural Festival and experience the traditional culture of the Baekje Kingdom (18 B.C.-660 A.D.) in Gongju Hanok Village.

Participants will make videos based on their experiences in this program and share them on their social media. The ministry will also post related videos on the official YouTube channels of Arirang TV (www.youtube.com/@KOREAarirangTV) and Korea.net (www.youtube.com/@GatewayToKorea), and Arirang TV will air them as well.

The private broadcaster Mongol TV will also participate in the program and produce shows about it for airing in Mongolia.

More information on the program's schedule and registration is available on the event's official website (https://sensesofkculture.kr).
