Kim Hyo Joo has won the Ford Championship of the U.S. Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour.

Kim on March 31 beat Lilia Vu of the U.S. in sudden-death overtime at Whirlwind Golf Club of the resort Wild Horse Pass in Chandler, Arizona.

Finishing at 22-under 266, Kim sank a birdie on the first hole of overtime to win.

This was Kim's seventh victory on the LPGA Tour and earned her prize money of USD 337,500 (KRW 490 million).

She is the second Korean to win this year on the tour after Kim A Lim.

In addition, Lee Mi Hyang placed sixth and Yoon Ina 22nd in the competition.
