To commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Singapore, a bilateral meeting was held between senior cultural officials from both countries at the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, Singapore’s national performing arts centre.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Yong Ho Seong, First Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea, and Mr. Alvin Tan, Minister of State for the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth of Singapore. The discussion focused on strengthening bilateral cultural cooperation and expanding exchanges in the arts and creative sectors.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Esplanade for their continued partnership and support. The Esplanade has played a key role in bringing Jongmyo Jeryeak, Korea’s first National Intangible Cultural Heritage, to Singapore as part of the opening program for the 50th anniversary celebrations.
This meaningful collaboration marks another important milestone in the deepening of cultural ties between Korea and Singapore.
