President Lee Jae Myung on Oct. 27 held a bilateral summit with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, discussing joint responses to online crimes in Cambodia targeting Koreans and advancement of their strategic partnership.

President Lee Jae Myung and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Oct. 27 held a bilateral summit at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in the Malaysian capital, and welcomed the signing of their bilateral free trade agreement (FTA). Both sides expressed hope that the accord will expand trade and investment and expedite cooperation in strategic industries such as digital technology and artificial intelligence.

Both leaders discussed a possible meeting between the American head of state and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and boosting bilateral cooperation especially in shipbuilding.

President Lee Jae Myung and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba on Aug. 23 announced a joint statement after their bilateral summit at the Japanese leader's official residence in Tokyo. This was the first time in 17 years for the leaders of both countries to release their meeting's outcome in an official statement. 

In the statement, the two countries agreed that as this year marks the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations, both sides as partners should work together for future-oriented and mutually beneficial common interests to tackle global challenges.

President Lee Jae Myung and Vietnam's top leader To Lam, who is general secretary of his country's Communist Party, on Aug. 11 held a bilateral summit in Seoul and adopted a joint statement on reinforcing the comprehensive strategic partnership between both countries. The two pledged to raise bilateral trade to USD 150 billion (KRW 208 trillion) by 2030 and boost cooperation in infrastructure such as nuclear power and high-speed rail and supply chains for core minerals.

President Lee Jae Myung on June 17 held a summit with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba on the sidelines of the Group of Seven Summit in Canada. Both sides pledged to advance their diplomatic ties "in a more mature and future-oriented manner" to mark the 60th anniversary of normalizing bilateral relations this year.

President Lee Jae Myung on June 16 held a summit with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on the sidelines of the Group of Seven Summit in Canada. 

Both leaders pledged to work together for Korea's successful hosting of this year's Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in late October as charter APEC member states.

President Lee urged the South African government to show interest in and support Korean companies in that country in sectors like energy and manufacturing.

President Yoon Suk Yeol on Nov. 28 hosted a summit at his office for visiting Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics on raising bilateral cooperation and analyzing regional and international situations.

Both leaders agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in sectors such as bio and pharmaceuticals, national security and the defense industry.

President Yoon Suk Yeol on Nov. 25 hosted summit talks in Seoul with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, who was on an official visit to Korea, and adopted a joint statement on their newly formed strategic partnership.

Both leaders welcomed the resumption of negotiations on a bilateral free trade agreement this year and agreed to accelerate efforts to conclude the deal next year. They also pledged to raise cooperation in infrastructure and supply chains for core minerals.
