President Yoon Suk Yeol and Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala on June 30 in Madrid, Spain, discussed in a bilateral summit raising practical cooperation between both countries as well as leading global issues such North Korea.

President Yoon requested Prague's interest and support so that globally competitive Korean corporations can participate in the construction of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Station, whose tender was launched in March. 

He also promoted Busan's bid to host the 2030 World Expo.

President Yoon Suk Yeol on June 29 held a trilateral summit with U.S. President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on regional and global issues, including North Korea's nuclear program. 

President Yoon stressed how the North's nuclear issue is a common task that all three countries must urgently respond to. He suggested that in line with principles, the three countries must firmly respond to Pyeongyang's provocations and closely cooperate to induce the North's return to dialogue.

President Yoon Suk Yeol on June 29 in a summit with French President Emmanuel Macron discussed bilateral ties and key international issues.

Both leaders agreed on the importance of nuclear power plants to achieve carbon neutrality, stronger cooperation for safe operation of such facilities and higher industrial competitiveness of the sector. They also pledged joint efforts to stimulate and cooperate in the space industry.

President Yoon Suk Yeol on June 28 held bilateral talks with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Norman Albanese in Madrid, Spain, the first event of the president's official schedule on the sidelines of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit.

Both leaders in the afternoon held their dialogue at a hotel in the Spanish capital, where they agreed to closely cooperate in getting North Korea to stop its nuclear program and maintaining peace on the Korean Peninsula based on the values of democracy, human rights and the market economy.
They also discussed economic and security issues like cooperation in energy and climate change, green technology of both countries for carbon neutrality, cutting-edge industrial materials and the supply network of rare minerals.

President Yoon Suk Yeol on June 29 held a summit with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

The two leaders discussed cooperation in future-oriented sectors such as cutting-edge technology including semiconductors and economic and national security issues. President Yoon said he hopes that Korean corporations, with high levels of safety and price competitiveness, can help raise the share of nuclear energy in the Dutch power industry, including construction of nuclear plants.

President Yoon Suk Yeol and Polish President Andrzej Duda on June 29 in a bilateral summit discussed boosting practical cooperation and international issues, including North Korea's nuclear program.

President Yoon explained the recent political situation on the Korean Peninsula and Seoul's policy toward Pyeongyang. President Duda indicated support for the Yoon administration's efforts toward peace on the peninsula and pledged continued cooperation.

President Yoon Suk Yeol and U.S. President Joe Biden on May 21 agreed to upgrade their bilateral alliance to the level of a "global comprehensive strategic alliance" and adopted a joint statement.


On the occasion of President Biden's official visit to Korea, the two leaders held talks at the presidential office in Seoul's Yongsan-gu District, discussing key issues such as North Korea, economic security and global cooperation.

President Moon Jae-in on Jan. 20 and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a summit at the presidential palace in Cairo.

Both sides agreed to strengthen their partnership for sustainable development. Korea raised its limit on its Economic Development Cooperation Fund for Egypt to USD 1 billion, and will share its development experience and support the expansion of the Arab nation's transportation and water resource infrastructure such as railway construction in urban areas and seawater desalination.
The two countries also pledged close cooperation in overcoming the climate crisis.

President Moon Jae-in on Jan. 18 attended a summit with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The two exchanged opinions on the advance of Korean companies in the Saudi nuclear power market and weapons exports.

Cheong Wa Dae said President Moon's visit to Saudi Arabia resulted in the conclusion of 11 agreements on cooperation in education, resource transactions between Korean corporations and Aramco, and collaboration in hydrogen supply networks.

President Moon Jae-in on Jan. 16 held a summit with United Arab Emirates (UAE) Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum at the Expo Dubai 2020's Leadership Hall. On a state visit to the Arab nation, the president in the talks discussed methods of bilateral cooperation including in the defense industry.

The two countries concluded a contract worth KRW 4.18 trillion on Korea's export of its self-developed M-SAM2, a mid-range ground-to-air missile, to the UAE.

The biggest export of a single Korean-developed weapons system, the deal is expected to promote worldwide the excellence of the Korean defense industry and accelerate follow-up cooperative projects. 

Signing the contract was Tawazun Economic Council, which manages the supply contract between the UAE Ministry of Defense and Korean defense contractors such as LIG Nex1, Hanwha Systems and Hanwha Defense.
